What should I get next?

Thread Starter
Alright, admittedly this doesn't fit here, but it doesn't fit anywhere else more so... I figured this is the closest to general hardware discussion. Look at my system down in my sig and tell me what I should upgrade first when something new comes out.
I am not upgrading my power supply because it's perfect the way it is and I'm not going quad SLI and dual CPU with a liquid cooling system with a 500,000gph pump or something. It might even be fine for a GTX 590, idk. I'm not buying a new CPU cooler because the Hyper 212+ keeps it well below 50C on all games and below 55C on stress tests, as far as I'm concerned that's great. No new case, this thing is almost the size of my friend's car and it has a lot of room left in it. Other than that, what is holding me back the most?

And I don't know if this will change anyone's opinion but I've yet to find a game that gets below 40FPS minimum, and I'm sure it's not the 760 limiting it. I hear most people with 275s whining about how they only get 20FPS on even a lower res, so think of my 275 as a 470 even though I know it's not, it seems to perform like one.

One more vote for SSD. Any Sandforce, Crucial or Intel drive would do, preferably over 240/256GB so that the controllers run at full speed.

I was about to say your GPU, but if you're happy with your performance for now, why not just wait until the next series of GPUs come out later this year and pick up a previous gen card on sale?

Also, I don't know what your sound setup is like, but it could be a nice investment.

Aren't SSDs going to be a lot cheaper in the next 5 years anyway? I'd hate to buy a 20GB one for $100 then have 500GB ones be $50 the next year.

If I do buy one, does this one look good? I've been a fan of Samsung because they seem to make great products that work forever. I'm not going to buy one to store every single thing on it. Maybe a few games at a time but I don't want to spend $400 for a 256GB SSD.

HDD's bottleneck systems as it is nowadays and would think that is happening to yours as well. SSD's won't change much over the years other than pricing, and it's a huge upgrade. As others have said try to get one in the 120-250gb range if at all possible.
