help picking out SSD

Thread Starter
hey I was wondering if I could get some advice on pickin a new SSD drive for the build in my Sig. I was thinking about doing 2x60gb or 2x32gb on RAID 0 to get as much speed as possible, I'm looking for the fastest drives I can get but that are also reliable, I've read up on some of the 500mb/s OCZ drives but people seem to have a lot of issues with them failing. Only really need to install windows 7 plus (BF2, SC2, CS 1.6/CS:S, TFC2). I have my 2x 1TB F3's on RAID 1 at the moment. SO i'll room on that using it for storage. any advice is much appreciated.

can't really afford 2 of those thats why i was gonna do 2x32 or 2x60gb drives, i don't need that much space for just windows and some games

I have 2 OCZ Vertex 2s in my sig rig. Honestly boot and load times are not noticeably faster in raid 0 when compared to a single SSD. If I were you I would go with a single Intel Elm Crest 120GB. Intel's reliability is worth the extra $$. I've had 5 OCZ Vertex 2 drives fail so far...

my recommendation is the crucial m4 it is a slightly better than the c300 and isn't overly expensive. i have been using my c300 for almost 5 months without any problems.

C300/C400 are a good choice. Same NAND as Intel SSDs use.
