Should I replace my ASUS M4A89GTD PRO?

Thread Starter
I'm looking at putting some $ into my system, but am not sure where to go. I have been eyeing up the new ASUS Crosshair V and the Sabertooth 990.

I'm wondering if it is a waste of money or actually a worth while upgrade to get one of these 2 boards over my current M4A89GTD?

Aside from futureproofing for the AM3+ and SLI capabilities, are there any other advantages to going to one of these boards over my current one?

Thanks in advance.

No, 990FX is just a 890FX rebranded so unless you need the extra pcie lanes its really just a sidegrade

The 890FX does not support SLI, unless you enable an unofficial hack (which is hard to find, I can no longer find it on the internet). Your choice. Note that the M4A89 also has support for the upcoming AMD FX processor by beta BIOS.
