Welcome to OCN!!

Lol welcome! I'm on a stock cooler as well (temporary). This Intel cooler blows compared to AMD's stock. This thing clicks like no other and it won't shut up! The fan blades are hitting the bracket that holds it. Makes no sense. But good luck on finding a cooler! A cheapo Hyper 212 can be great help!

A hyper 212+ is probably the best cooler in its price range, coolers priced $60+ will give you slightly better results, but IMO the price is not justifiable for the small decrease in temps.

And to start off with, I need to upgrade my cooling system because at the moment I have a stock cooler installed over my Intel i7 940 (Running at 2.93 GHz) and temperatures, at idle, are quite hot! Averaging around 50C!

So that's about it!

Hope to solve the problems soon and then get deep into OC-ing!

Totally scared the hell out of me when I saw half of my name on OCN. Figured someone had hacked my user info and was getting ready to post obnoxiously degrading my name.

Tristan M. XXXXXX at your service

If you are looking at air cooling, I must recommend the Austrian Noctua NH-D14 if you have room as its extremely big yet effective (or the Noctua products in general (Link)

I personally used this, and highly recommend the NH-D14, its very efficient and quiet.
