What is THIS in my loop? - Page 3

It's definitely flakes of metal but from what, I do not know. It's shiny particulates so it can't be the copper blocks. The only things that I can think of that would match that metal color is the bitspower fittings themselves. Anyone had any fittings flake?

Interior of your fittings looks dirty. Try cleaning it with boiled water. If it does not come off, then you got nickel flaking case.

Nickle plating on the fittings may have flaked a bit.

That soot looks like flux
