a m8 of mine recently upgraded to 24gb and is noticing a huge difference in using these plugins and applications. As for myself 12gigs helps, but when it comes to this extra lil bit of power I do find it lacking every now and then.

As for future sale, I strongly doubt I will find issues in selling the rig as only few people tend to have knowledge of what they buy, and I do make use of that lol.

I would go with the 970 for the extra threads.

970 or 2600k, I still would need a proper cooling that fits. Since the Noctua NH-D14 wont fit not will the silver arrow I was thinking about a Archon or a Venomous X, any thoughts on that?

I heard the H70 is noisy, and if replacing the fans is the only option I consider 100,- too expensive. compared to a Archon or venomous X @ 66,-

I meant a full on loop.

My H70 wasn't noisy. To me anyway. My Noctua was damn silent.

In all honesty I don't quite know what "loop" means. as in an actual watercooling system? if so I have no clue what it all costs lol

A cpu only watercooling system.

Unless you want a aftermarket cooling solution for your gpus.

D14 will fit if you take the fins off the top of your Dominators with an allen key. You could also put the fan on the back of the heatsink instead of the front.

Good choice on the 970 over the 2600k on multitreaded apps. I really push my systems hard with engineering work and my 980x is much better in that roll.

Have you not considered Megahalems with gentle Typhons for silence. I prefer them over any of the air options discussed as well as the H50-H70.
