Internet Lag after gaming for about 15 minutes

Sorry guys, wasn't sure where to put this. Anyways, my problem is exactly what the title says. I play a game for about 15 minutes, my internet starts to go nuts, all I do to fix it is unplug my Ethernet cord out of my PC for a split second and plug it back in, and it's fixed for another 10 minutes. Any idea what this can be?

Have you contacted your ISP?

Do you have a 2-way firewall like ZoneAlarm free?

What kind of router do you have? Because I know I had horrible lag issues on my Belkin pre-n. Got a new router and it worked flawlessly. But I think we'd all like to know more on your computer specs and what isp you have.

Sorry guys, forgot to mention I'm hardwired to the modem. No router involved. This seemed to start happening AFTER I installed the new nvidia drivers, I have a 9500GT, not sure how that would make sense.

Tell us a little bit about your motherboard, if you have a nvidia chipset, it could be effected by the nvidia driver associated with the graphics card.

does rolling back your driver fix the issue?

You could also try to install the WDM windows driver for your chipset or go to the nvidia site and see if they have a newer driver for your chipset.

A785GE is my Motherboard model. I haven't tried rolling back the drivers as I don't really know how to do so. Do you mean just uninstall the current drivers and go back to older drivers? Like I said, just started happening recently. It doesn't happen when I'm just surfing the web, only thing is I haven't tried any other games. I may need to install another to test it out.
