mini-SAS cables

Hey guys,

I planning on purchasing an arc-1880i card in the near future. So I began reading the manual from Areca, and it seems it doesn't provide the cables with the card.

It says that I need two SFF-8087 mini-SAS.

I googled it and saw a lot brands. Does it matter which one? Or what do you guys use?

generally the cheapest available. If they work they'll be fine, if they don't send them back and get them replaced. A SAS cable is pretty much a SAS cable - they'll either work properly and at full speed, or they won't work at all.

Adaptec has most of the formats you will need.

I suggest you purchase one of their cables

Determine the SFF style on the card and what SFF you'll need on the other end. It's four numbers xxxx.

You can get most all of their cables through provantage.
