I had the exact same issue and cured it by deleting the afterburner config file. I can now run afterburner while playing, however you wont be able to control voltage from AB anymore.

Thanks for the help guys, I updated pb and renamed rtcore.cfg.

I don't know which fixed it or if I got lucky on the crash. I just played for about an hour. The only problem I had was some black flickering on a couple of occasions.

Anyone experience this flicker or have a guess as to what it might be?

I was having the black flicker problem when I was using my old 9600GT, and after doing some research it sounded like disabling bloom would fix that. You have to manually disable it in the BC2 config file. It seemed to help for me, though I didn't test it for long as my 6950 was on its way.

Was yours on rendered surfaces or the whole screen?

For me it only lasts like a second, is really fast, and the entire screen is flashing with horizontal black lines and bars of random thickness.

Does ati run afr with this game? I wonder if it's one of my cards having problems while the other is fine. This would explain the flicker.

I would completely freeze 15-20 min in, with a bad sound, picuture looked normal, needed reboot

Had to x out of TRIXX, MSI, GPUz, before playing, no more problem

I think this is pretty normal. Flashing textures, flashing black screens. I got it when I had my 5850s and stilling getting it with my current setup just slightly less.

I just updated to the latest 11.6 cat drivers and 11.6 CAP and mine licked up twice again last night!

I have no idea why the new drivers would cause this!!! ATI really has to get their **** together when it comes to driver releases!
