AG Coating on U2410 and U2711? - Page 2

the crt monitor is not a LCD, the sharpess of pixel is much lower.
if u want to do a comparison, use the notebook display, this is 90% glare panel.

if your room is too lighted u cant use a glossy solution, change room or change monitor.

do u know that if u go in google home page and write "AG COATING" ( whitout naming "dell" ) in search bar, and press enter appears links about to HOW REMOVE THE COATING ON A DELL MONITOR" ? Specially u27xx and U30xx.

Glare cause reflection, but heavy antiglare is worse.
cause most eyestrain when text reading, decrease the sharpness and cause grainy and dirty effects specially in white color, and if u are unfortunate and the AG coating is toothickness also cause a sparkle effect.
The users who say that the coating on his monitor is not too bad is only personal awe and usually have got any other monitor to compare.

It is sitting right next to my AW2310 and the AG looks exactly the same. And no reflections at all from non-direct sunlight directly behind me which means its working perfectly. If someone doesn't like AG coating they should get a glossy. Can't stand glossy's myself, hense I am AG biased. Microcenter sells the U27's so if someone thinks they might not like it they can go see it for themselves before spending $800.

Where did I say anything about dot pitch? I will refrain from making a joke about you being unable to read text on your monitor smile.gif

There's a big difference between mild AG and harsh AG like on the U3011/U2711. Trust me I do not like glossy displays but the U3011 harsh AG coating was enough for me to return it in favor for a glossy screen. Neither option IMO is perfect tho. I guess it all depends on the individuals preference but for me the U3011 coating is too much. It would be perfect for an outdoor monitor tho tongue.gif

well well if u dont notice the difference doth pitch, u cant see the ag coating.
many users hate this factor in IPS monitor specially U2711 and U3011.
i saw the 2711 and is unreadable.

Learn draygon, Dell fanboy.
the comparison must to be made whit similar or same dot pitch, but if u say that the 0.233 and 0.265 is similar i dont know what i tell u.
the difference of pixel pitch is the same as a 21" and 24", the caracters dimensions is absoluttly different !

0.248 is too small for read for major part of people and u say me that 0.233 whit harsh coating is perfect ?
what brand is the binoculars?

Learn draygon, patetic Dell fanboy.

HE DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE DOT PITCH.

How hard is this for you to understand? Geez.

Doesn't mean that he doesn't see it. Just that you randomly brought dot pitch up even though it has nothing to do with the subject at hand.

Go learn to formulate a coherent argument.

I understand that many people have *****ed about this AG coating. I was just offering my opinion and saying that people should see it themselves beforehand if they have problems with heavy AG coating.
