Well since the whole Global Warning hoax is down the drain, I wonder what will be the next big leftist movement to create panic. Someone should phone up Al Gore quick and see what's up.
Whether global warming is factual or not i'll leave to the pseudo intelliectuals here you know who you are The whole eco movement thing is really a vehicle to get mankind to alter our way of life, which they are right, is unsustainable. People can't see the big picture when they want a new fridge or tv, they just want what everyone else has, what marketing has told them they need. So they have to scare people into changing, it's the same concept with religion. Religion is a society control method used thoughout history to keep order by fear, "if you do this (insert what you don't want some one to do) you will burn in the everlasting fires of hell".

The trouble with the whole eco thing, is that there are too many people on the plant who all want what everyone in the first world has.

Oh you poor person...

It's one of the better days out side today, but here at 10am it's only 16°C, that's 61°F for all you Americans. Can't see it getting any hotter either

The fact is it is unlikely you'll even notice a temperature change due to this 'cooling'. Climate is a huge thing and saying 'oh we've had a cold winter this year it must be getting colder' really just shows your ignorance. Even with 200 years or more of global data it is very difficult to tell what the trends are in climate. This is why we try to guess what may happen based on known climate processes. Sometimes we get it wrong - because its complicated and there are a lot of factors to take into consideration.

The very fact that there are still so many climate change skeptics shows how little the average person understands climactic processes. Therefore I don't think the next 11 years are really going affect us that drastically.
Whether we know as much about global warmer as you pseudo intellectuals is niether here nor there, I want it to be about 10°C hotter here all year round!

You get the idea.
No no, you can't call it global cooling, that's hypocritical; the correct term is global "dimming"

or better yet, "Climate Change" - that way, whichever way it changes, you're right!

I'm just bothered by the fact that most people start making all these false assumptions based on what they read in articles like this. Whether I'm a 'pseudo-intellectual' or not is neither here nor there. The fact that I've dedicated my education to this subject IS relevant. I agree that scare tactics are being used to try and get people to change their behavior but unlike religion there is some basis to (most) of the claims.

I really enjoy articles like this, it just sucks that most people read this and say "hurr durr scientists have no idea what their talking about" instead of trying to understand the bigger picture.

Having an education in a subject does not stop you being blind to the opposing side, necessarily.

No but it should provide you with a stronger understanding of the facts from which you draw your conclusions.

I already bought 200 fridges from the 50's and deodorant from the 80's.

Bustin' out the good old CFCs.

I want my hot summers back.
