What kind of processor that is best and should I get for my primary computer (specs and info below)?

It could be an AMD K7 standard or a different standard that is compatible.

if your stuck with an AMD Sempron, then i would like to reccomend the $43 dollar model here-

I looked at it. Thanks for your work, but I need a processor that has a Socket A. Not a socket AM2/AM2+

Not to be rude but what you have is horrible. It's not worth upgrading things that old its time for you to come forth into new technology, you could honestly find a computer 3x faster that what you have somewhere in the trash.

lol that's a bit harsh, but I agree with the sentiment.

Listen, I wasted loads of money upgrading.. All of those parts, are just that, in parts, in my room. Because I finally got it, and built a real, new, good computer instead of wasting money and time with the previous computer.

- but it all depend's what you do with it, ofcourse.
