This is not true, only Speed and timings need to be the same, you can run a Dual channel 4xDIMM with 2x 2GBs and 2x4GB but will get best if you pair them accordingly *(2+4:4+2//4+2:2+4)* not sure about these forms *(2+2:4+4//4+4:2+2)*

Nah i'm not using the onboard video, i have a 460 GTX and why would i buy a mobo with 4 RAM slots? I'm never ever gonna need more than 8GB of RAM because this PC is for gaming nothing else.
the extra ram slots will not hurt, just make it more future resistant
you never know when you may need 16+g of ram
it isnt very expensive anymore

its a very good board, 8+2 vrm can handle 140w+cpu
including the x6 1100t

You should shop at NCIX in Canada. They have $4.99 flat rate shipping on everything at their recent sale, or come to a Vancouver or Toronto local store for pickup. My recommendations:
955 + 870A-UD3 - $210/$200 AR (ask them if they have a "rev 3.1" [AM3+ socket] of this mobo; if not, they also have a decent AM3+ selection)
G.Skill Ripjaws X 2x4GB DDR3-1600 RAM - $75
Powercolor 600W Gaming PSU - $40 (Great Solytech-based unit esp. for price!)
