Note to developers and publishers, there are a lot of people who only buy games from Steam.

Now where are your friends to invite that you have accumulated over the years in your Steam Friends List because they certainly aren't in this "Origin"....
steam loves you for that to. They know they dont have to do discounts or anything to get your money. Nothing makes a retailer smile more than you giving them complete trust.

That is so much more complicated than using steam.

Click start, click dawn of war 2. Then steam opens up, and then dawn of war 2 opens up.

Good god that was tough, complicated, i had trouble handling it.

It's good to see a few rational adults in here. Clicking on shortcuts is a PITA for some.

People can say this isn't a big deal but its a HUGE deal to a lot of people. 400+GB (88 games) and a couple hundred pals that I game with weekly is a huge deal. If I can't buy it on Steam, its a no go. If I can get the boxed copy and it not force Impulse, Origin, Etc on me then fine but I refuse to install another game download client for ONE game.

Ask someone on XBOX Live whos accumulated thousands of points, friends, indie games and such to install a third party app and essentially lose all that and see how happy they are. (this obviously cannot happen but you get the point.)
You sir, have consolized your PC. Steam is your XBOX Live, lol.
You have eliminated your own choice to choose between services, which consoles doesn't allow either.

well first, activision needs to make a game i want to buy. And if they made a game i wanted to buy. i would buy it. Like blops, turns out i made a mistake on that purchase, but i hate activision, and i bought blops anyway because i had respect for grey matter.

So even in the instance of my pure hatred for the publisher, i actually bought the game anyway.

I don't understand, If they want to push origin so bad why dont they make it a launcher.exe for there games ? That updates and keeps all your ea games in one place but that requires You log in. Then you can have Steam and EA. I'm using right now. Its fine but they should just stay with steam.

Are you nuts? Steam discounts all their games at some point or another to sometimes stupidly low levels. And yes Valve and Steam have my complete trust by providing the most solid form of delivery to my computer and the easiest to use system to date. Not to mention being one of the best PC developers out there. They have my trust and the trust of 30m others because they earned it.

I haven't bought an Activision game since COD4, and I refuse to until they get a good game out. So that wouldn't phase me in the slightest either. Not paying $60 for a game I've already bought once....4 more times.

And yet Steam gives us discounts anyway.

They also have to pay the developers of the games as well. Which is another reason why I see no reason why EA would pull their games from Steam and alienate more customers. EA is still going to get paid, whether the games are on Steam or not.

And having more junk installed than needed is such a great thing to have going on on my rig, isn't it? I already have Steam, I have no reason to get Origin. Period. If I miss out on BF3 or ME3 so be it. Those are the only titles from EA that I could care less about anyway, and I can live without them to avoid the hassle of having Origin on my machine.
