Well, one would think before making broad statements like "VALVE HAS NEVER PULLED THEIR GAMES FROM OTHER RETAILERS/ETAILERS", one would at least check to back up what they are about to say. I understand, not everyone has common sense.

I didn't read anything about dropping support for Steam, just that Crysis 2 won't be available for purchase on Steam.

They may be severing ties with other online distributors as well, but steam was just the first. Steam is also their biggest competitor as far as online distribution goes. Steam is by far the largest of the four (Origin, Steam, D2D, GamersGate). They're going after their biggest foe first. Business is business.

Exactly
EA may be alot of things, and I'm not their biggest fan, but this is a good move

Im sure no one is gonna boycott this, but it sure is a pain in the @ss.. Damn you EA.

You know what, I think that if every member that is against this would send EA a personal mail, we actually could do something, ofcourse we would have to bring some more sites in on this...

There is a reason for this and it has absolutely nothing to do with steam or the amount of pc-gamers. It had to do with the fact that they released the beta and it had console port written all over it. (If you played the beta you know what I am talking about) Along with the fact that the game had no anti-cheat, you could make up a cd-key and play for free, along with the lack of dx11 support.

Add all of those together and you get the reason why pc sales did poorly.
