Who wants to keep track of multiple download services? When a games come out on both for the same price which one do I buy it from? Obviously Steam since I have way more invested.

Why would I go with EA when they will release maybe 2 or 3 games a year worth buying? I don't want a download service with only one or two games attached, its a waste.

Its the same reason Impulse isn't getting used. Sure Sins is a great game but 1 game isn't worth it. I would rather have the DVD hardcopy.

then dont QFT a post if you dont believe it.

i use whatever is cheaper, which usually isnt steam.

There are times i can get 30% a Pre-Order at D2D, steam has never done that. My buddy bought Brink for $25 as a pre-order there, he tried to get me to buy it but i wasnt to interested in the game, thank god. But Steam doesnt sell and hasnt sold brink for that cheap, esp as a pre-order. If i had, i would only have been out half as much as the people at steam.

i dont understand keeping track issue.
you don;t have to keep track.
when you want to play BF3 or Crysis 2 just open up origin... I don;t think its going to run away on you and make you go looking for it. it will be in your start menu... or you can pin it to your task bar (probably like your steam client) or have a desktop icon for it (possibly like your steam client)
what is so hard about it? and what are you keeping track of?

i still stand by that quote. he's saying that once a name is synonymous with a market it is practically impossible for competition to compete or even surpass what is known as the "standard." and that statement is as true as ever

The other big issue with the EA Orgin Store is it is Region Specific meaning if you live in Japan and Only Speak English your 100% ****ed. You can't get it in English.

Steam on the other hand is International friendly.

EA just shot themselves, People trust the STEAM platform for the most part and is a well established platform. Users will be hesitant to use origin especially with EA rubbish customer care, so in reality they are hurting sales by pulling from STEAM. They just want to highlight origin which IMHO is going to fail compared to STEAM.

with as awesome as battlefield 3 is, it doesnt need me to rescue it. I will definately need an intervention a couple months after it comes out though.
