[Exophase] EA Pulls Crysis 2 from Steam Store, Now ‘Only On Origin' - Page 56

Another thing that irks me is the fact that EA is spitting on the good name that Origin used to be by using it as their services name. You can try to deconstruct my points but the fact still remains: People want a single client for their digital library. EADM sucked back then thanks to Digital River's stupid policies. After six years, I'll stick with Steam thanks.

Steam pulling a title because it could not be the sole proprietor of DLC doesn't change the fact that EA still left a bad taste in many people's mouths over the years - me being one of them. Troll elsewhere.

Would you post a link to the contract? You seem to be very much in the know what went down.

they know that, but because of their love of steam, they feel that EA should give into what steam demands, whether it be DLC profits, or even a 90% take of the game sale.

Oh, another one who knows exactly what happened. What were Steam's demands?

Its called "reading".

"It’s unfortunate that Steam has removed Crysis 2 from their service. This was not an EA decision or the result of any action by EA.

Steam has imposed a set of business terms for developers hoping to sell content on that service – many of which are not imposed by other online game services. Unfortunately, Crytek has an agreement with another download service which violates the new rules from Steam and resulted in its expulsion of Crysis 2 from Steam.

Crysis 2 continues to be available on several other download services including GameStop, Amazon, Origin.com and more."

Don't allow double standards. You may not like EA doing for this, but they have every right to do so.
They'll probably sell it cheaper than Valve in the future also.
You must not use steam at all...

Maybe you should try it yourself some time. I did not ask for a vague PR statement.

so instead you're waiting for Valve to admit they did this?

I dunno about you, if it was "PR" wouldn't valve have responded by now? 24 hours after the fact

Its pretty big accusation, i would think if it wasn't true Valve would deny it 24 hours after the accusation

or at least put out a statement of some sort
