How to apply Arctic MX-2 on Hyper212+

If I remember reading correctly, you aren't supposed to spread MX2 but just to put some on the center of your CPU.

I also have the Hyper 212 cooler and it has heatpipes that come in contact with the CPU so I think that requires doing things a little differently.

How do you guys suggest I do it?

Put a rice size dot in the middle of the chip.

NO!!!


This is proper way to apply a TIM on a Hyper 212+ cooler which has HDT base: CLICK HERE FOR FULL TUTORIAL
