I have a old hp w2007 with resolution of 1680 x 1050. I am looking at a HP 2511x or 2711x and would like to know, would i see a good improvement and which would be better to get? Would like all input.

They are only 1080P, so the detail won't be that much better, but the bigger screen size will be more than worth it. Going from a 20" monitor to either of those will be life changing. Can you handle it?

If you are into gaming 27" is amazing. Else the difference is less important.

I would buy the 27".

I would love to, but money is tight rite now. Have a chance to get the 23 for a good price. Would that be a decent upgrade over what i have?

You're changing one TN panel for another. TN technology has improved since the days of the w2007, so it should be better. Screen size increase will be nice. If it's cheap (like $150 thereabouts), go for it.
