ASUS M4N98TD EVO will not BOOT

Thread Starter
So I just put my computer together about 30 minutes ago. But once I plugged everything up to start running my pc. I find out that it won't boot. The light on the MOBO is green, the fans run the video card runs but doesnt connect to the Monitor. The DVD drive doesnt seem to be getting any power, and I am not to sure about the HDD. I am using 2x4gb of DDR3 Corsair Veangeance 1600 9-9-9-24 ram ( which might be the entire reason right there) now I have read just to go into BIOS and turn the timings down. Well I can't even get that far. I have tried holding down the MEMOK button, but its not doing anything either. Any Idea on what could have happened?

ensure that the cpu is seated correctly... if it is not then nothing will happen but a power up. Alternitivley it could be a dead video card. try a known working card and give that a hot and lemme know

That happened when I built my first rig because I'd forgotten to plug the 8-pin CPU power connector thing in. doh.gif

Just throwing it out there.

Did not seem to be the CPU, I made sure it was in place correctly. Fans are one Video card is on. But that seems to be it.

Huzzah!

I felt stupid when I did it, too. I'm just glad I noticed it in time to hang up on my call to tech support. rolleyes.gif
