Just go into the BIOS and find the option that disables the onboard VGA... if in doubt, look at the motherboard manual. Should have all the menu options in there.

Be advised this technology is immature....

If you want Virtu Integrated Graphics features and your Discrete Graphics card connect to the motherboard VGA or DVI only. Do not connect to your graphics card output connectors. Recommend you go to link and download:
VIRTU UTILITY GUIDE. ZIP (PDF)

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/Z68A-GD80--B3-.html#/?div=QuickGuide

This will provide the MSI Software Application Guide. Scroll down for the Virtu information you seek.

ive actually read through that and the other manuals. it does tell me to have the monitor hooked up to the mobo for I-mode to save power and discrete card for D-mode for better performance. it just doesnt seem right, i believe some of the reviews about ive read about lucid virtu says that the motherboard will decide when to switch from one vga to the other to save power. the only thing that i can think of is that keeping it in i-mode will let the mobo decide when to use which, however it says the 3d performance may not be as good but the difference wouldnt be noticeable. i hope this means ONLY 3d performance and not overall performance.
