HDMI and DVI are basically the same thing. In terms of quality they are the same, however, the main difference between HDMI and DVI is that HDMI can carry audio signals, whereas DVI can't. So unless you have built in speakers on the monitor, HDMI is pointless.

HDMI is good because your monitor can essentially be used as a TV without any sort of adapter. It's quite desirable really.

Also, yes, annoying thread format. Not even sure why I clicked on it. Apparently that monitor is really bad anyway.
