GTX295 GPU2 hits 105C&GPU1 hits 57, need help to lower the temp - Page 2

What ports do you have it connected to? I can run SLI and have two monitors connected.

Having an extra monitor does put more strain on the GPU, not that much more, but it does make a difference..

I actually just had to clean my 295GTX today. One thing about the 295GTX is that the GPU surface is huge compared to a CPU so you need A LOT of thermal paste to cover it. I suggest you take your card apart, clean it for dust, and replace the thermal paste and make sure to be very generous with the amount you apply.

there are 2 monitor ports. i connect one to each monitor.
