Yes it will. I suggest that you just order some colored tubing rather than that stuff.

It can ruin your pump. Also your temps can be 1-2 degrees higher than plain distiled + kill coil.

Interesting. Do you have any proof of this?

when comparing thermal resistance of water to water/ethylene glycol mixture(a common additive) http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/et...col-d_146.html
look at the specific heat chart of water, you do have to convert so they use the same units, which they give you at the bottom of the charts
http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/wa...ies-d_162.html

i'll let you find out if it's right or wrong, since i'm too sleepy to figure it out right now, haha

there are other reasons not to use coolants, it makes the liquid thicker, and in most cases you can't pour it down the drain, since both ethylene glycol and propylene glycol are both poisonous, you have to bring the coolant mixture to a recycling center for proper disposal. . .

If you really like coloured coolant, I'd suggest something like Mayhems Dye (basically tracer dye). You only need a couple drops, and it won't gum anything up as it's fully dissolvable in water. No yuck like waxy dye bombs.

Just some distilled water (you don't need the ridiculous uber-pure exotic brands. Just some supermarket stuff- it'll take in plenty of ions from the rest of the system anyway), a drop of Copper sulfate or Benzalkonium chloride (PT-Nuke), or a killcoil (just be careful that it's solid, not plated silver) and perhaps a couple drops of that tracer dye. Cheaper than Feser, and won't gum up your stuff. I learned the hard way!

I did quite a bit of research on this subject when I built my loop, as I wanted to use colored fluid. From what I've found, the buildup in the loops seems to happen more often with Blue or Red fluid. It's also more prone to happen when using very restrictive loops.

A few *unofficial* reports seem to point to the gunk not actually being from the fluid, but other parts of the loop like plasticizer from tubing or radiators that were not flushed prior to install. This will cause the build up, then the color of the fluid adheres to the gunk, creating the illusion that the fluid is breaking down.

At least go with colored tubing and if you want to try out the colored fluid, make sure your loop is up and running successfully before doing so. The fluid is not cheap and I would not want to buy a $15-20 bottle every few weeks. I still have a bottle of Feser Acid Green that I have not yet used due to my EK blocks corroding.
