Dented/cracked heatpipe?

I just did an install with a Xigmatek Aegir. I had everything mounted and installed but I had some other problems I had to hunt down which lead to me removing the heatsink. So I had to reapply thermal paste.

So anyway, I noticed after I pulled the heatsink off that the 6mm pipe on one side is actually dented. You can see how it reflects light at a different angle in a crack in the middle of the pipe. It isn't ruptured - I don't think anything got out - but it's seriously dented. It appears to be the part where the side edge of the heatspreader mates with the copper heat pipe - the edge dug into the pipe.

Now this isn't a critical part for heat transfer I guess, most of the heat goes in the middle and it won't hurt that much if the corner isn't being cooled. But I'm concerned that with some thermal cycles and expanding/contracting the heat pipe will rupture. And they're filled with some sort of fluid, right? Am I looking at flaming hot vapor squirting out at my CPU one day?

FWIW, it seems to be working alright. Running intel burn test for 10 minutes gets the cores up to 50/53/49/52 on my i2500k that's currently at stock. Room temp is about 27c, cpu idle temps around 33 average. Are those decent temps? I really have no idea - people post their overvolted, overclocked temps but I don't know what's expected from stock coolers.

Anyway, I wanted to know if I'm in danger or if I should just let it slide if it seems to be working alright.

Sorry I can't take a pic but my digital camera is broken.

Let's assume the tube is still intact but it has a small indentation. Is it likely to rupture as the heatsink expands and contracts?

What's the worst case scenario? if it ruptures, will it spray fluid all over the place? Or a vapor? Is it poisonous?
