Your favorite JRPG on the Xbox 360?

Thread Starter
Mine is Final Fantasy 13, with Lost Odyssey coming in a very close second place. Both games have extremely good graphics and storylines. I already beat Lost Odyssey 3 times and I am working on Beating FFXIII right now (Just started Chapter 8, currently at 14 hours).

So what is your favorite JRPG for the Xbox? I know there aren't many, there are like 10 I believe . I tried Blue Dragon... it was just terrible. No more JRPG's until FFXIII-2 I guess, which I will pre-order the first day I am able to.

External Sonata is a good game, I enjoyed it.

Star Ocean and Renaisance of Fate are both good mentions. FFXIII has to be my current favorite on the 360. Haven't played Lost Odyssey yet, still have it in the wrapper in my back log. Wasn't too much of a fan for Blue Dragon and didn't like Tales of Vesperia too much, the story seemed a little dry for me. Can't wait for FFXIII-X2. All I have left are the challenges after story mode about 50% completed with all Ultimate Weapons and 3/4 of accessories. Trying to 1000/1000 it out.

Also have Infinite Undiscovery in my back log. Just so many games come out that grab my attention and I forget about playing them. Just not ready to jump into a game for 100 hours. lol.

Also Enchanted Arms was....ok at best.

Most listed already, but oh well.

Lost Odyssey
Final Fantasy XIII
Blue Dragon
Eternal Sonata
Tales of Vesperia
Star Ocean: The Last Hope
Resonance of Fate
The Last Remnant
Phantasy Star (Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection)
Phantasy Star II (XBLA, SUGC)
Phantasy Star III (SUGC)
Phantasy Star IV (SUGC)

Home consoles really aren't the systems for JRPGs these days, at least in the West. Unfortunately most aren't being localized anymore. You'd find quite a few excellent JRPGs on the Nintendo DS, which can be had pretty cheap these days. It wouldn't hurt to pick up a PSP either, though I wouldn't before a DS.

It was my first and only JRPG, but I did love Infinite Undiscovery as well.

FFXIII was a favorite of mine as well, dont really get all the hate thrown at it. The linearity there was the same as almost any other Final fantasy (say 10 or 7), you just never encountered a false "open world" feel.

I would recommend getting Oblivion GOTY edition or Dragon Age, as there aren't really a lot of decent JRPGs out recently except for Tales of Vesperia, imo.

I'm the biggest Tales fanboy ever, so I would be sinning if I didn't mention Tales of Vesperia.
