It's funny you say that. I've been thinking the same thing. Too bad gaming is just hitting mainstream now and will only get "worse".

the argument they'll use is its there for people who want to experience the story but don't wanna bother playing through the whole game grind.

Makes sense, i mean even Nintendo did it with New Super Mario Bros, if you died a certain number of times, you could have luigi "play" the level for you

Final Fantasy games have never been hard, especially story bosses. Just about every game's final boss can be beaten by an average party setup or some sort of trick/exploit.

Superbosses are a different story. I like 'em, but their difficulty usually stems from cheap attacks and ridiculously inflated health, though most of them can unfortunately be beaten by exploits as well.

FF13 was easy as long as you're not trying to 5 star everything. I beat the final boss on my first try with 3 stars. Seriously, stopp dumbing down FF13 than it already is.

I think the only FF that you needed a fairly strong party was FF8 for the final boss.

Perhaps, but the Junction system is so broken that it's unbelievably easy to make characters ridiculously strong.

There's also the cheap way: Get the Lion Heart for Squall, defeat Bahamut and then mod his card into 99 Megalixirs. During the final boss just have someone cast Aura on Squall, spam Renzokuken and throw a Megalixir every turn. Win.

This game was already easy mode. I just got bored with the ridiculously linear gameplay and unending grind. Was really let down with this game. Not sure why all the game companies are into hand holding easy movie mode.

Get Laguna's card (?... I had every card), turn it into 10 Holy Wars, win before they run out. You can also glitch your PS1 by opening the disk cover while using Selphie's Limit Break to cycle through all her abilities and not get attacked, looking for The End. I did that... not sure if it worked because Ultimecia didn't die... but perhaps it did 1 Mil . I can't fathom how hard that fight could have been without me doing that, and I didn't want to find out.
