What up all!

My current sticks are going to be transferred to a sister rig I'm building for in-house lan parties & I'm looking for new ones.
Must-have specs: 2x4gb, 2133mhz, tight latencies, best of the best. Only buying one set for the time being.
This is the kit I'm currently eying: Mushkin Enhanced Redline (Ridgeback)

Would appreciate it if you guys could give me some advice on whether those are good sticks & definite +rep if you can find better kits & prices.

Just curious is there a need for such fast ram?

At that speed I can't really find anything cheaper.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-468-_-Product

Those have looser timings but for the $40 difference I would still go with the redlines

If you drop the speed down you can find cheaper sets

Personally I would get those Redlines. You should be able to get them to run at 2200MHz with your board.

Mushkin also has great tech support. I was having issues with the timings on a customer's Photoshop/CAD machine with 24GB and the guy walked me through it in about 3 minutes. It seems that when you call they actually have a real person who knows everything about their product, not some call center on the outskirts of Bangladesh. Crazy, I know.

hahah good to know. yeah once you reach 20gb+ you tend to run into all sorts of problems.

My Redlines ran exactly as spec'd right out of the box, 2133, 9, 11,10,1t. They do it at 1.60v. The folks at Mushkin were great. 2X4 for $150 feels very cool at this point.
