Then why does it look that much better on the PC than on the console? From what I hear it the console kiddies complaining the most and serves them right.

They bag about how great the console looks compared to the PC and they won't hear that it's due to the games being direct ports and that's the only reason they can be compared at the moment.

But anyway this is a monumental moment for old time PC gamers, and it exceeded what I was initially hoping for.
First off, graphics matter but gameplay>graphics. Crysis 2 had like 2 instances of bad graphics. The shingles on top of the roofs in the church and the floating trash. Like HALF of DNF was worse than the worst Crysis 2 could offer.

I call it a port, and I hate that term, because of how incredibly quick the health regen was, the single story house like corridors you follow for 90% of the game, the linearity, the cookie-cutter bosses and amazing simplicity to the 'puzzles'. Maybe i should just say it's incredibly dumbed down?

Kids actually understand poo humor more than adults do so I don't know where you were going with your passive-aggressive insult except to say that the people who don't like this game are children.

Errr... yes, as a matter of fact I have been reading video game reviews since 1991 at least. And, I was also the OP for the Ars thread on the Duke Nukem Forever review.

And you'll constantly see players unless you're on the far edges of the map and nobody has a mission there. They even complained about it being a TPS, which was just laughable, such as looking over walls, how you shoot and such. Sad part was 80% of the reviewers had all those complaints in common. I'd personally never give a game to review by somebody who doesn't play video games, sucks at video games, or is just a plain idiot.
I never read the reviews for that game (nor played it), so I can't comment on them, and you may perfectly be right on that one, but what I commented on was this game in particular and the reviews I read (not only the one from Ars). Having said that, I wouldn't generalize calling reviewers idiot just because of that game, or because of certain reviewers that may not be good at what they do.
