will either of these psus run this rig?

I've put together a rig for a friend (not a performance/gaming user). Here are the components (nothing is overclocked):

e6750 cpu
8800 GT gfx card
2 optical drives
Soundblaster audio card (older model, pre-'08)

I'm pretty sure that this 430w Antec psu is adequate for this rig:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371034

However, for various reason$, I'm wondering if this 380w Antec psu would do the job:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371033

They're both on the "Recommended PSU" sticky list. As I indicated, I'd prefer to put the 380w psu in, to save money, but if it's not enough juice, the 430w psu will do the job..right?

Also, just to confirm...Antec Basiq is not a desirable line of psus, is it? Thanks for any help!

Just FYI, your first link (the 430W unit) is not on the recommended list. That's the Antec BP430.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371034 is the one on the recommended list.
And yes, the 380W you mentioned would work.

Oy, thank for heads-up! Copied wrong link. Fixed.

I guessed on a couple of the parameters but here is what I got. I do think that the 380w would run just fine though.

Our recommended PSU Wattage: 425 W

Newegg's calculator is horrible, please don't use it.

380w Antec EarthWatts would be perfect.

Thanks for replies, folks, +1 all...I used a couple of psu calculators, I take their results under advisement, but came here to make sure...it does look like the 380w psu will do the trick, I'm probably gonna yank out one of the optical drives anyway. My friend is definitely not an "enthusiast", and by the time he and his kids need an upgrade, I'll have a whole other rig to give them.

But I AM an "enthusiast", and overkill is my instinct, so we'll see...
