No. It will have 50% more performance than the current 360s/PS3s. All the hardware specs are irrelevant because the CPUs and GPUs are different than PC ones. All you need to know is that it will have 50% more performance than the 360 or PS3, which equates to about a 9600GT for graphics.

Since where do you get quad core out of this?

The full set of specs have yet to be released, but a few details have slipped out. IBM confirmed in a press release last week that the console will be powered by a multi-core processor built on the same technology that powered the Jeopardy-winning artificial intelligence Watson.
Multi-Core != Quad Core.

It's specs are a rumor until they are released by Nintendo.

Yup sounds like the PCs that most people are trying to upgrade from last year.

wait you just told us to not compared PC hardware to the console hardware, then your proceed to say it is like a 9600GT.

I am pretty sure that you just contradicted yourself. good job.
also, the current 360 has a 500mhz ATI graphics chip in it. But I would say a 4870 would be a pretty good upgrade to that.
They also state in the artical it is based on the radeon 4xxx line.

OP might not know how powerful a 360/PS3 is and might require some sort of hardware equivalent, and almost everyone knows the 9000 series.

Consoles run most games in 720p or less, medium details, 2x to no AA and with frame drops under 30. Any 8xxx or 9xxx series chip can do that and more.
