Great Shellshocker deal starting soon http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-417-_-Product

runs at 1.5v at 1333 so should hit 1600 easily with some more volts. Also, use the newcustomer10 coupon for an extra 10$ off. Making it $50 for 8gbs of DDR3 and no lame rebates!

So sweet, I can get 16Gb for just $110 shipped. That's not bad at all.

Yea, I am debating getting this (1333) or the Kensington (1600) stuff for $50 AR (I don't mind rebates).

I feel bad that I got only 4 gigs of 1333 a while back for $100 .

There's a better deal out there, significantly better. Don't even bother with this.

how is the ram you linked significantly better? it's 1333 cl 9 at 1.5v vs 1600 cl 9 at 1.65v. there shouldn't be too much difference, and for those who hate rebates, the snipers are a great choice.

1600 CL9 for a lower price. Take over this generic RAM that pretty much won't be able to get any OC (as with the majority of 2x4GB DDR3-1333 CL9 kits). If trying to work with AM3 locked multi processor you will certainly get held back from full OC.

That is what I was thinking, I could get the Kingston 1600, downclock it to 1333 and then have more OC headroom and not be limited by the RAM. I know G. Skill tends to bin very tightly, so you usually can't get much more out of their budget RAM.

According to Newegg reviews its easy to get them to 1600, making them just as good as the kingstons. Also, there are no rebates which is a big plus for people that hate rebates. Lastly, Kingston and Gskill are both reputable ram manufacturers and IMO have the same chance of DOA, or bad timings.
