The easiest way to apply TIM to give you the best results is the pea-size/uncooked grain of rice-size application to the center of the CPU. Place the HSF directly down on the CPU and secure with as little movement in any direction as possible. When it comes to TIM, too much is just as bad as not enough. Read this link page
