[GB] Crysis 2 Removed from Steam NOT because of 'Origin' - Page 20

EA's offering Crossplatform gaming?

Get to work Gabe. Portal2 and ps3 shouldn't be the only thing you offer.
I don't care if ea gets exclusivity with BF3.. as long as they allow steam to carry it a week later.. I'm happy
post #193 of 236
I don't understand why people are bashing on EA for making something exclusive to origin, when that is all Valve does.

Because Valve is perfect and the "savior" of PC gaming, didn't you know ?
All the while Steam prices are the worst you could find in almost all countries in the world compared to retail but that's ok because it's Valve, and it doesn't affect their mostly US based fanbase, you just have to look at their forums to see that the rest of their customers aren't as happy with them.

Even in the U.S, the only time its cheaper is when its a deal.

Yeah but it's disproportionate here in Europe, like we have to pay 40€ for Bad Company 2 ($57) while US customers only have to pay $20, how is that saving PC gaming ? At least the game is 25€ on EA store, but you can still find cheaperat retail.

That's a good example how Europe in particular is being completely ripped off by Steam.

I feel like it would be a good example if you were forced to buy everything from Steam...
Just buy it from somewhere cheaper?
OT: The fact that there are a still a few EA games on Steam makes me think one company will fold eventually. I wonder which it will be...

Europe has a higher cost of living compared to the US. The same can be said of China compared to the US.

EA I still <3 you.

Darn you Steam, now I can't get Crysis 2 for $20, I bought Crysis and Crysis Warhead in combo for $15.

Maybe but then why is Steam the only one to have those outrageous prices ? Other digital download stores usually also have higher prices than retail (which dioesn't make any sense, why would you pay more to have less ?) but that's nothing compared to Steam.

But if you listen to the users of OCN, Steam should be the only platform where we can buy games, if more and more people adobt that position there will be a time where I won't have any other place to buy from, and unfortunately PC games are more and more difficult to find in retail stores.
