Water everywhere.. :( - Page 13

**** dude... corrodide water... hearing a snap...

Your up for a hail mary in all honesty....

Get the parts out bare naked.

And then get a large bottle of rubbing alcohol.
Then POUR the rubbing alcohol EVERYWHERE on the board and gpu while using a soft toothbrush and giving it a light brushing.

Your going to displace water + dust + whatever residue you have with alcohol, wipe, and let the alcohol dry in the sunlight.

Its faster then leaving it sit under rice.. and at your stage, your going to need a hail mary.

The alcohol has a much faster drying time then water, and evaps cleaner then water.

DUDE...I already did that. And if you recommend someone rubbing alcohol make sure you let them know to get 99% or something close to it.

It sat in rice over night. Guess what???

Motherboard is working, CPU is working. First Cylcone GPU one that was plugged in to the monitor is working

Now fixing MBR and checking other two GPUs.

Looks like I might have made a 100% recovery.

EDIT: On the phone now with FrozenCPU floor supervisor speaking about the Dead-water biocide. He just checked multiple bottles and t hey all have the stuff floating around.

Contacting XSPC now, see what they have to say.

I just hope the other two GPUs are fine.

I am still puzzled by the corrosion. There has to be someone out there that experienced something like this or can explain how this happened?

This got me worried. I ordered a kit a while back, haven't received it yet though. I bought this stuff for coolant. The GPU block is copper, no CPU block. This kit is going to a computer I will have mining 24/7 so I would like the WC loop to be as secure as possible. How often would you suggest changing water and cleaning the loop?

I do mine every 6 months or so is the standard length that people normally do. Some people leave it slightly longer, depends on the person I guess.

edit: There must of been something at that spot in the loop or block to cause that corrosion
