Stress test your memory. I would start with that custom prime test that I mentioned earlier. In memory to use just enter 3200MB instead of the 7200 that I was using. I might also try Linx.

If that passes run GPUTool to check your video card for artifacts. That last crash that you had was the display driver. Memory issues are also known to cause that so thats where I would start.

I'd recommend using a disk cleanup utility, CCleaner as well: http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER

You should also disable some of the background applications and processes that aren't needed - task manager is a good place to start, along with startup. Obviously, you'll also want to remove programs you don't use a lot, since they can hog your memory should they be doing something in the background (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...er-performance)

Lastly, you should also double check that there's good airflow in your case and nothing is potentially overheating, as that could also possibly cause stuttering and hiccups.

OK i have ran prime for about 3 hrs with no problems. settings
memory in use set to 1600mb
min FFT size = 8
max FFt size = 4096

i will run it set to memory in use as 3200mb during the night.(ran prime for just over 7hrs and it was stable all tasks completed, cpu temps at 40c underload)
i will also run the GPUtool(card is at stock in fact all components are stock) in the morn b4 i leave 2m(also ran the gputool for abt 2hrs no problem, temps stayed at 65c underload)

Darco
ive installed and ran ccleaner, cleaned up everything.
checked the startup appz and the only appz that start up atm are:
realtek hd driver
usb3.0 driver
avg
and jmb36x ide driver(raid) although im not using raid
(only have the bare min installed atm, plus the ccleaner, gputool and crystal disk installed)

also air flow seems decent, 2 fans bringing in air from front nd 2 extracting(back nd top) cpu cooler running push pull

pc is running fine atm, new hd and a clean install, got my other 5 hd's plugged in aswell.

Pc seems to be running fine doing normal stuff watching playing games(browsing the net is really sluggish with mozilla nd ie), but restarting and booting up is slow, even my dads x2 4200+ boots up faster nd restarts fast than mine
