tubes, fittings and liquid

Thread Starter
i have been running crappy ace hardware tubing for ages and had crappy fittings for ages too. i have been wanting to replace it for a while now but haven't had the cash. i have also wanted a reservoir for a while too. what would OCN recommend? i would prefer green tubing because i will be running distilled water and PTnuke + a kill coil, i have been ruing koolance liuqud for a while and i am worried about clogging.

here is a pic of my setup:

I highly recommend Bitspower fittings, regardless if you stick with barbs or go compression. The size doesn't really matter, but generally speaking, shoot for 1/8" walls. So, 3/8 x 5/8 or 1/2 x 3/4.

Tubing, I love my Primochill UV Green

Not bad at all for ACE hardware equipment. At first I was expecting something horrorable reading the title.

Woah do i spy an IDE cable ?

I say go with some xspc compressions they are pretty cheap. For tubing I would pick up some primochill.

i think i am going to go with clear tubing, tygon most likley.
here is my shopping cart:
8 feet of tygon 3603 1/2" ID (3/4" OD) Clear Tubing

IandH StealthRes Deluxe Tube Multi-Option 175 Reservoir

IandH Silver KillCoil

IandH Dead-Water

8 Bitspower Premium G1/4" Matte Black High Flow 1/2" Compression Fitting (For Tygon 1/2" ID)

it is like 155 with the fittings (71$ for all the compression fittings....) and i still will need a 45 degree and a 90 degree compression fitting.

EDIT: the fittings are STUPID expensive... idk if i want to drop 70$ on them right now...

They aren't compression, but they are some nice Bitspowers for a decent price.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Here's the cheapest fittings I was able to find.

At $1 a piece for shipping, it may be cheaper to go with who ever you order your other stuff from. gl

you dont have to get compression fittings, normal fittings work well just make sure that you use a hose clamp on them and they are tight. as for the hose ive been recommended primo chill its good stuff. For a res it depends on what you are looking for... they are not cheap luckly i got my DD one for free, but i like the ones that you can stick in your drive bays mainly because you can keep an eye on flow in case you think your pump stops.

Bitspower's compressions are expensive even among compression fittings. You have some tight bends, so I'd say go for 3/8 by 5/8 tubing for really tight bends, though you'd have to get a top for your pump.

And you can get rid of those two loose fans you have there if you want.

I am going to get matte black compression fittings, they are MUCH easier to deal with, and look much better.
i need a 45 and a 90 degree fitting too, that pushes my total to 200...
