Windows 7 0xc000000e boot error, desperately need help!

Hey guys I finished up some PC mods the other day and put my computer back together, I added a fan controller and added a couple of wires to help the flow of my cable management. Nothing major at all, after I put everything back together I booted up only to see that only two of my three drives are recognized.

I have two 500GB drives running in RAID 0 and I have one regular 320GB drive running my operating system, this is the problematic drive from what it seems. When I try and boot regularly I eventually hit the 0xc000000e boot error screen telling me that a recent hardware/software change might have caused it.

Like I said, no major hardware changes and I don't remember installing anything this month.

I put the recovery installation disc in and it gave me the option to install windows, I chose the "repair my computer option" which then brings me to a screen that is supposed to list my operating system so that I can select and continue my repair, well no dice. This screen does not show any operating system, my only option is to either continue or "Load drivers", I have no idea where these drivers are or what they even look like.

I thought it may have been something with the RAID so I put in my motherboard disc and loaded RAID drivers, once again, no dice.

The SATA orientation is exactly the same as before I started my modifications, this problem seems to have come clear out of the blue. Right now I unplugged the RAID 0 drives and left only my OS drive and nothing is helping the issue.

I have no clue on what I should do to help mend this problem, I wouldn't mind doing a clean install but I really need to salvage the information I have stored on that drive, I have a lot of important files that I use for video editing productions, school documents, music and a lot of other things.

I would really appreciate any assistance on the matter, thank you!

I'm currently on my laptop, I cannot boot into Windows with my desktop so how do I go about downloading that file onto my desktop so I can get you the correct information?

Sorry if some of these questions are out there, not an expert in this area. Thanks again!

don't you have a boot disk? Create one with the laptop and copy the dump file of it.

You can use Hiron BOOTCD
http://www.hirensbootcd.org/files/Hirens.BootCD.14.0.zip
Here's how to make a Usb disk with it

http://www.hirensbootcd.org/usb-booting/

Get the file of the drive first with it. There's lots of utilities to fix your problem but you have raid drives so we don't want to mess with it first without finding out the exact problem so you don't loose your data.

0xc000000e Is most likely a driver issue with your HD controller.. Boot into safe mode if you can. Once you get into safe mode go to the Device Manager and click on the IDE ATA / ATAPI controllers and uninstall or roll back your Drivers. I came across this issue not too long ago after installing new IRRT drivers.

No problem. We are here to help this is what this place is for.

Btw did you change your drive config? Like the boot order or did a cmos reset?

When it happened to me the first time I simply did a force shut down, I got the screen again so I did a clear CMOS and tried yet again with no luck.

I cannot get into safe mode so no go on this one, thanks for the suggestion though. I just got home but I can't find my flash drive! ARGH!

I could burn this program on a blank disc right?

You should be able to run it from a disc.

What kind of hard drive is it? There may be some jumpers on the back which will allow you to boot it in engineering mode or some such - but from there your only choice will be to try formatting.

Does the drive work in another computer or an external caddy?
