Camera doesn't do the R4s some justice. They're running on 7v. Still missing one gpu frown.gif Goods news: it shipped today and should arrive Monday smile.gif

Woah that's a LOT of rad inside the case 0_o.

I'm currently running the air out of my loop.
Layout is this : Res->Pump->CPU->EX360->Koolance 140->3x7970 -> Pump #2 -> RX360->Res.

In future I'm planning to do a) change the drain-port that is kincked at the moment, due to last-moment-remembering that I actually need one. b) buy a dual-bay dual D5 rez from XSPC to mout the second pump with the first one, instead of this strange config.

Pictures of the rig tomorrow ( without the sexy lights, havn't installed them yet)

one small change I would suggest is Res->pump->ex360->cpu->rx360->3x7970->140->res,I am a firm believer in getting the coolest fluid to the cpu first, then cool the fluid threw the next 360 to the video cards.

Water reaches an equilibrium so there's really no difference where the blocks go. I tested this with an i7 3820 and four GTX 480 cards. Yeah, that's right, four notorious hot graphics cards. I put the cpu in before the gpu and then the after. There's was about 1-2°c difference between before and after. Now this is an extreme case. 99.99999999999...% of the time, it won't matter because ppl are not using four gtx 480s. You'll probably find some very tiny and miniscule difference that's not worth a lick biggrin.gif

Best thing to the do: res> pump and plumb everything else with the least amount of tube. After going through ~13 different water builds, I picked up a thing or two wink.gif

I've finished my build already =) Going to drop some picks later today ( have to get double-sided tape to keep the hdd bay secure... and that second pump, the sticky sponge proven to be of bad quality and half of it unstuck already). And Res->Pump->Rad->CPU was hard to fit, so I didn't go that way.

At any rate. Did OCCT yesterday at 4.6ghz , the hottest I got on cores was 63C biggrin.gif that's a great improvement over my previous loop.

The bottom rad is humming a lot so some changes are coming soon biggrin.gif
post #1128 of 1907

Well that's my current build condition.
Couple things to notice:
1. Yeah the wiring is something to be desired
2. Yes, there is black tape around MCP655, because the default sticky sponge unstuck in 48h 0_o. And I'll be getting a Dual Bay Dual rez from XSPC instead of my current single D5 dual-bay rez.
3. Yes the drain port in kinked. I remebered that I need one...well when I set up the whole loop, so it was a last minute addition, and I'll be re-doing it sometime.
4. Not sure if I'll keep the mobo. It behaves...strange, I mean my Sabertooth X79 was more solid imho. But I'll do some more testing before I decide ( thats Xpower II there atm)
5. I have UV lights laying on my desk, thinking where to put them, and how to connect them so that cables won't be a mess:D

A few changes are still in store. I'm going with a slightly different rad, removing the xt360, and rearranging things. Finally got my 2nd gpu and she's wet too biggrin.gif
