Evga Z77 is going bye-bye rolleyes.gif
Drool-worthy, for sure!biggrin.gif
Seems to be a lot of issues with EVGA's Z77 board from what I've seen. I had their P55 Classified version which ran great, but that's history now.
That Giga-board looks like a beauty, nice pci-e slot layout for the triple-580's. No bullets with it like the Snipers?biggrin.gif
I guess the 1500-watt psu will be adequate for the cards!
I really liked my two 480's before I went AMD, the 580 was the very peak of perfection for the Fermi. They're still great cards.thumb.gif

Edit: I see that your Z77 board is a Sniper. I think it looks better than the earlier Snipers with the mock bullet-casings:rolleyes:

The x58 sniper had the cartridge w/ the bullet on the end. I guess GB took note of the negative feed back rolleyes.gif. The MSI BB x79 does have a bullet design on the heatsink (nasty rolleyes.gif). I need 1.5kw for the quad 580s. I wanted to keep my Seasonic 1250w but I just didn't feel comfortable running four cards with it. I did ran a Silverstone 1500w when i ran and benched quad 480s.

One more package came in and its the BP D-plugs for the gpu blocks. I'm going to start a log soon smile.gif.

That psu certainly isn't overkill, for what you'll be using it for! Mine is supposed to have the same guts as your previous Seasonic 1250-watt, it's been great for my two measly 7950's.
1500 watts should serve you well. The Bitspower d-plugs look good, they should work well with all those 580's!
Looking forward to the build log. I sure hope to have mine done, before the year is over:rolleyes:

I pulled ~1000w (at the psu not the wall) on stock everything with three cards. So, four would pull right around the top capability of the Seasonic. Though, I plan to oc' my cpu to ~4.9 and bump the blocks to around 850 on each gpu so I would have pushed the Seasonic hard when gaming in Surround.

I'm tossing the idea around to either wrap my case in 3d carbon fiber vinyl or just respray some stain black. I'm guessing I'm going to need a few sq' of wrap smile.gif

Does anyone know if the bitfenix spectre pro 200mm fan will fit in the top of the elysium? I know the megaflow will.

I had three 230mm pro(s) in mine a few months ago. Two on top, one at the bottom. So, your 200mm shouldn't have any troubles thumb.gif

Thanks for the great support and input guys!! thumb.gif
I will let our design department know, and btw sorry about the spoiler!
But I thought it would be good to get some feedback from our professionals here on the Elysium club.biggrin.gif
Also we are currently having a debate about having 2 psu slots or 1, what do you guys think about just having a bottom 1 ?
Thanks in advance
