I'll let someone else answer that question, but I do want to ask you this. How did you like the air flow in the 800D? Also after I read so many reviews of the 800D saying how it's such a great WC case would you share your feelings?

I've been eyeballing this case for over a week now and still can't decide which case (this or the 800D) would perform better with my sig rig. I do have concerns about how much/little air flow is in the 800D and that sways me towards this monster plus I'd have a lot of room to grow after adding GPU/s if it ever gets to that point.

Couple of weeks ago I built a rig with this case and I used these plastic type washers to allow atleast 40cm or so space between the rad bottom fans and the grill. With a few M3.5 thread 75mm long screws and those washers in place it worked a treat. Unfortunatly don't have pics of how it looked but what I can say is that it worked very well looked very very good. The washers I used had a thickness of 3mm or so, stacked up about 5 or 6 for each screw and worked well.

I adopted the idea from my own build which is how I have it right now, gives fantastic temps mind you biggrin.gif Project build is in my sig, you'll find more pics there biggrin.gif

Using a nut to hold the long screw in place and the washers I'm sure you can have some kind of idea as to how I did it on the Elysium.

The Elysium is the case I soooo want to get, will be perfect for me, has the mounting holes already there on top and it's massive with loads of space. biggrin.gif

Mumaim1 thats exactly what I am doing with my case biggrin.gif just going to build a vented roof to place on top but same idea just wont be able to see the rad on mine wink.gif

I'm mounting a 420 rad (140.3) in the top and I notice that depending on which end you have the fitting's(i.e near the front 5.25 bay's or at the back near the IO) it could mean modding. With the fitting's at the back near the IO that means cutting out the case to some degree. I've decided to put the fitting's end of the rad toward the 5.25 bay's and it looks to be fine with no modding. Will send a pic to show what I mean. I also have a 360 rad and it doesn't look as difficult to mount either way on the top. I'm actually mounting a 360 on the bottom with my psu as well. Made it fit

Sounds good vertex, this case is amazing for mods I think most people will chose it just so they dont have to mod but if you can mod and use this case its amazing all the options, I am still trying to figure out whats best biggrin.gif

I too am trying to nail down my final ideas. There are so many possibilities and variations, even without hard modding. At present, the value of this case is without equal(aesthetics aside for some). I for one am amazed at the amount of space it has; although I'm quickly running out of it.

Being able to mount a 240 x 40mm rad up front with ODD, a x6 fan controller and a two bay pump/reservoir combo and I still have two 5.25 bays available.

I can also P/P the fans on the 360 rad up top and the 240 in front. The hard drive cage has a single 12cm in between it and the 240.

Some more pics for progress before the hose cutting starts.

I really want one of those HAF cable covers. Do they sell those aftermarket?

Also, did anyone have issues with the power supply cables being too short? Especially on my Crosshair V's 8 and 4 pin for the motherboard, which are at the very top, I'm going to have to buy extensions. ITS SO BIG!!!

..twss...
