Hay folks, need an advice:
So, since I'm dropping a 4th 7970 into the rig, I'm thinking of more rad space then my current rig has.
I was thinking of adding my spare 120mm thick rad on to the bottom of the case. so that my total will be EX360 + RX360 + RX120+ slim 140 to cool 4 cards and cpu.
Oh and I assume Lepa G1600 is the same length as AX1200
So my problem: where the hell should I shove my HDD's ? front is all but not-available since I have RX360 and dvd-rw and swiftech res for two mcp655's

I had the same issue and decided to put mine here:

And just wanted to update my progress fellas, finally got a bit done, although still have to mod my fill line inside the side panel as well as get my tubing braids done, but we're gettin' there! I never thought how much work and how tight it'd be to get my hdd's and that spectre fan to fit there lol...

It seems to have taken forever, although it has been for the best as I have learned a lot about what brands/materials not to use as well as some new ideas! Def. use the 3M brand of the carbon vinyl, that's for sure as the Di-Noc is the only one that has proper adhesion... learned that 1 the hard way. I am looking at my fan controllers/ poweradjust 2 USB as we speak deciding how to configure them into the system... My kids bought me the Sunbeamtech multi-panel and even though I normally wouldn't use that brand or style, gotta put her in as I don't want to hurt their feelings...?? Daughter checks in from time to time "that's really gonna help make it faster, isn't it dad" lol. Oh well, the thought right? I also have that Zalman 6 ch. that I made the new front plate outta red acrylic to install and the #5 and #6 channels have toggle switches instead of turn dials so trying to figure out what to use them for... maybe lighting I guess??!! Dang aquacomputer doesn't make an English manual for the poweradjust 2 so that's been a job trying to figure out where to connect everything to that, but the nice thing is having the NZXT USB hub which gives plenty of connections though! Better eat my dinner and get back at it! Keep up the good work yourself:thumb:

Does anyone else get rattling sounds from the 5 1/4 bay covers?

I know its not the fans, I have them on rubber washers, also when turned off the rattling continues.

It could be the hard drive? I just give it a knock to stop the sound!!!

I'm not sure the covers fit very well, also they fit plastic to plastic.

Any suggestions?

Place a tiny strip of velvet or other thin material on the cover sides, the retention system is somewhat flimsy and can rattle easily, fortunately mine didn't when I had the "XIGMATEK" branded cover in place, now I don't have any cover in use so problem solved biggrin.gif

Option 2: slightly enlarge the bay cover (open up the sides, they're metal), it should press more firmly on the plastic retainers in the front bezel.

I jammed some easy-tack / blue goo in there and that silenced them.

At that point I would just go external. You could pick up a phobya 1080, box and fans for under $200. It'll keep those cards ice cool with the fans spinning at a slow speed.
