Hey Everyone

New to the forum but have been reading overclock.net for some time now.

Just got the Elysium, Silver with side window today ready for a build! Going to run air for the moment with Water a litle down the track.
I had a small problem, the side panel (With the window) is really tight, hard to get back on to the case and was really hard to remove. Anyone else had any issues like that?

Sorry to say mine is very smooth.. Have you looked to see how the side panel tabs line up.. Are some bent possibly? Is it hard to put the panel on? I mean before trying to slide it forward to lock into position?

push on the top and bottom middle section and then slide window on.

Hey Guys

It does seem to be a bit hard just putting the panel on, not even sliding it up. I will check the Side panel tabs in some more detail and give it another go.

Its tricky. If you can hold it and push both top and bottom ends at the same time, and then, awkwardly slid it over. I find this helps smile.gif

Well, still ended up using a HDD cage to fix the front 360 radiator in place, but I did do the mod to remove that plastic thing to make the top 420 fit. I still had to use some hex nuts as standoffs to get the top filter to fit.
Looks so much cleaner than what I had before though! tongue.gif

How's the wear?
Any bad points you discovered? (can be anything)
How good are the dust filters?
Would you buy it again?

Please be honest and critical. Bought this HAF X on a whim and I regret it, a lot. One of the worst € 150 I spent .

And perhaps someone who has the silver and black aluminium version who could do a side by side shot of the aluminium? (hard to find a picture of the bezels in detail under the same lightning conditions).

If I'm looking at kingchris' case mod correctly, you can remove the aluminium bezels by simply unscrewing them?

Yes you can remove the ali strips on the front bezel by removing the allens



Dust filters are nothing special.. i would consider them average



For the rest of your questions, I cant comment on wear.. I just havent owned it that Long.. My personal take on it so far is It does take some slight modding to fit SOME rads but i love doing mods so this is the case for me.. Would perfer the window to be solid plexi.. no fan.. but thats another mod. the hard drive bays are difficult to slide in and out... The positives far outway the little negatives.. Theres just so much room and the cost for this case is low so i have no regrets.. Good luck on your decision.thumb.gif

Oh if it came in white i would for sure buy again..That is if I had the room for another one:)
