Update: it looks like coupons don't work for apps. I'm not exactly sure why Google has a "coupon codes" setting in the admin panel, but oh well.

I've updated the OP with a download link for the apk so you can download it and install it directly.

Playing on the xoom the controlls are not in the best of spots and the black dot to finish the stage is missing 3/4 of it.
The game is hard and only on world 2 right now.

What do you mean by the black dot is missing 3/4?

I'm considering adjusting the controls, so you move slower but jump higher, and possibly moving the buttons to the bottom of the screen. Let me know what type of phone you have. I've tested it on a Desire, Nexus One, and Hero, and didn't notice any issues but if you have a larger screen I can see how it might be harder to reach the buttons.

I dont have the Dot Problem on my Thunderbolt or Droid X2 at all. The game is frusterating in my opinion. The Controls in my middle of the screen in my opinion is a bad idea cause I lose track of DotBoy. If they were moved more to the bottom it would be better.

The other thing im running into is this. The controls are wonky the lightest tap will send DotBoy shooting himself right off a ledge. In my opinion he moves way to friggen fast.

Not trying to knock the game at all it was getting irriating trying to climb a ladder & one hair of a press and he runs wildly off the ledge

Hmm, I'll try to figure out what's causing that. Do you have that bug on every level?

I agree that the controls are a little off, I'm currently working on slowing him down and increasing the jump strength to make up for it (so you can still make some of the running jumps). You do get accustomed to the faster movement after awhile but I don't want new players to get frustrated and quit before they've had a chance to play the rest of the game, so I'll fix it.

Will also try moving the controls to the bottom of the screen and post a new build so you can see if it feels better.

So far its been on every level. I don't have much problem with the speed other then when I jump on a ladder its like dot boy slides off.

DL'd through mediafire, the coupon didnt work.

**From a Galaxy Tab**
(These are mostly cons but are suggestions, not attacks, thanks for making this game)

The control kills it, slowing him down or making the control less sensitive is key. I would also consider making the gravity/lateral movements different speeds, IE: you can move faster than you can fall. (you might have done this in later levels?)

I would consider adding a splash screen after the main menu that explains the goal, I originally avoided the spinning black dot thinking it would kill me. (Personality is one of the big reasons angry birds was so successful, maybe make a slideshow of why he wants the dot? or at least break up the levels with an info screen)

The directional pad is gigantic and centered vertically in the screen, moving it to the lower left of the screen would be ideal, the same for jump (on the right)

The size might be ok on a smaller screen (7" here) but i stand by the justification suggestion. (EDIT:guess you already said that)

A few polishes here and there and this could be a decent game but my first impression was to exit/uninstall after i beat level 2.

EDIT: I'm not getting the graphical glitches mentioned previously but there's the occasional glitch when i'm running/jumping where the game makes me keep running when i land until i die.

After fooling around this is caused by 2 things:

1: Me not taking my thumb off the screen, even if i'm not pressing over, holding my thumb down in the middle section makes you keep moving. this is because how you did your buttons, if i don't remove contact the action doesn't stop. For example: I can slide my finger from "right" onto the jump button, and he bunny hops across the screen.
maybe make the surrounding area a "do nothing" button that stops this for fingers that slide off?

2: if i jump, then tap over to make it a smaller jump, he keeps going..... try it out, jump then immediately tap a direction. (this might be solved if his speed is slowed down to give time for the presses to be independant?)

EDIT2: how am i supposed to beat the jump in the first stage of world 2. and being able to select the worlds you've beaten would be a good feature.

Thanks for the feedback. I was actually going to add a "how to play" option on the title screen, but I think your idea of having a splash screen before the first level would be better, because most people would probably skip the tutorial anyway.

In World 2 level 1, if you back up to the left and then take a running jump, you can make it to the platform on the right.

Things I plan to change (will post a new apk soon):
- Shrink d-pad.
- Move d-pad and jump button to bottom of screen.
- Slow down Dot Boy, increase jump strength / decrease gravity.
- Add splash screen with instructions when starting a new game.
- Replace current "pre-world" screens with a World Select screen that lets you start at any world you've already reached.

good choices so far. What I would do at this point tho is take it down off the market until its fully stable & ready for purchase. No offense but you dont want anyone buying the game as it is.

Thats just my opinion
