I once had an Athena Tech 1000 Watt that turned out to be a 600 watt Tagen power supply re-badged. Brand is something we need to know to help you.

You should add that your motherboard is EVGA as well.

I'd try to reassemble the system outside of the ATX case on a bench or table and install the operating system with only one stick of memory and a weaker video card (even an old PCI card if it is Windows 7 compatible). Once I tested that configuration, if I did not get any lines, I would then put in another stick of memory. Once I tested all the memory, then I would test the GTX 280 video card. I'd also pay close attention to how hot the chipset is getting.

BTW: When I ran a GTX 280 I turned the fans up to 70 percent with EVGA precision, just to be safe.

I'm currently reinstalling win7.

Expanding files 78%.

If this doesn't work i might just all together go for a budget 2600k build

I'm raging. I haven't played my dose of SC2 in 2 days. Probably when i come back i will be bronze league level.

Edit: Yes i do so too lol its hot. Usually.

It did not work. I am so confused at what it could be. It works on safe mode w/ networking. But as soon as i get drivers for the graphic card it starts messing up...It might be motherboard driver issue, ill get them asap.

Try a different slot on your mother board. Also try the card in another system if possible.

Try resetting ur CPU OC to stock... I know you said it's been stable for years but maybe it's starting to lose stability... Worth a shot

Can't use another slot. It tells me to use slot number 1. I think its cause its an SLI board.

Also reverted all my settings to stock speed and voltages...What i am going to do now is displug every power cable and replug them and replace possibly some with spare ones.
