OCN Origin Friend Requst

Thread Starter
I may be getting ahead of myself, but I figure it would be nice to have some OCN members' usernames to add to EA's new digital distribution app.

I see this doing much better than GFWL, or D2D's Comrade, so we may see a worthy competitor to Steam.

Post yours up!

from all the pointless panic and mindless hate/bashing about "crysis 2 removed from Steam" and the rumour that "BF3 will be Origin Exclusive"... causing so much rage in the OCN community, I doubt this'll take off...

but here it is:
I'm under SummerZed (although I had other alias for other games which I wanted to use as my main... don't know how to change right now >.>)

In the future you may have to install Origin to play any EA games. The new Battlefield may be this way and it would be nice to have a friends list established for the release.

For the record I love Steam, and EA will have to make some major advancements to change my mind.

Why would you have to do that when you can just go to the store to get a hard copy, then use the Steam overlay.

This should work, Origin is not a form of DRM, it is simple a store. For example, the digital version of The Old Republic will only be available from Origin, but if you get the retail disk you won't even need to mess with Origin unless you want too.

So, it's like Steam but you don't need to run it. I'm not sure if this is how it works with all games however.

I wouldn't be surprised if they implemented their own form of DRM. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Origin simply fade away, but I'm not sure that's gonna happen.

On retail discs don't you need to have the DVD in the drive to play? I know that some of my games are like that.
