Will high voltage at light load (vdroop but with C1E) degrade my chip?

I need 1.45v for 5ghz.
Let's say 1.45v is max safe voltage for argument's sake. Would going above this in light load situations degrade the chip faster?

The reason why I ask is my board droops 0.05v, so in order to stabilize 5ghz @ 1.45v, at light load volts jump up to 1.49v - 1.50v, while full load drops back down to 1.45v. The voltage drops down very quickly however, and idles at close to 1v due to C1E. That, or I could continue using LLC and fixed voltage for 1.39v idle, 1.45v load, but I'm interested in enabling power saving features such as EIST and C1E.

If you've got GREAT temperatures, I don't think it would hurt it any. I've ran 1.44v full load (1.46v idle) for a long time on mine. I only downclocked because of heat right now.

Yeah max temp in everyday use is about 64c.

That's a little high for "everyday use". I would just try to stabilize at 4.8GHz, because the extra voltage needed from 4.8 to 5GHz is insane. If that still takes too many volts, lower to 4.7GHz, I can almost guarantee that will work.

Ye, gonna leave it at 4.7 1.33v till I get rid of this POS motherboard.

Turns out it actually droops 0.07 at times. LLC is very stable, but I can't use LLC and offset on this board so no power saving features at high clocks for me.

Why would you want to get rid of that board? That's one of the better boards out there. Only problem being that its a B2 stepping, that's all. Otherwise, that's an absolutely SOLID board.

You really won't gain anything at all by switching boards. I switched from the lower Biostar TP67B+ to my Asus. And my overclock actually ended up being LESS. I could get 5.0 on the Biostar. I can't get over 4.8 on this board.

I don't like that I can't use Offset and LLC together. Well I can, but with +0.00v offset I get 1.48v load -_-. Voltage regulation via offset is pretty bad. At +0.03v offset (1.33v load) it sometimes goes to 1.4v at light load. These problems don't exist with fixed voltage/LLC, but neither do power saving options. It's not a bad board at all, I just wish I could use C1E/Offset at high clocks. Calling the board a POS was uncalled for, I agree.
