I would try to get the 2400, that way you would atleat be getting a quad...

Makes sense, I'll have to see what deals there are going on this weekend for the i5 2400. I just tried OCing my B55, and it wont even have a 400mhz OC without BSODing =(

I guess that's the tradeoff: Unlock a dual to a quad but cannot OC.

As for the other posts, glad to see the i3 performing as good as a high end quad from AMD in BC2, I play that quite often.

Im considering this same upgrade, actually from 1055t to 2500k
The mobo and cpu are already sold

That article Panic linked says something about the Sandys not overclocking nicely with FSB increase? Did I understand that correctly?
I know it wont effect the k series anyway, but that is an interesting point the article raises. Whats going on there? (note: havent used intel since Q-series)
