I'll put simply:

HD 6950 = 8.5, GTX 580 = 10.

HD 6950 = 250$, GTX 580 = 500$

GTX 580 = Stoopid.

Guess I'm stoopid then? tongue.gif

By the way, there were open box 580's for right around $310 on newegg several times. wink.gif I got mine for less than that even. So am I really that stoopid? tongue.gif

Looking to find out if the 750W PSU I want to buy will have enough to power 2x 6950s *(With or without Flash to 6970s)*

ASUS M4A89GTD Mobo
Phenom II x4 965 <-- Planning to OC to stock cooling limits
8GB Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600 Cas 9 RAM
750W Antec earth Modular PSU <-- Might switch if i have to Xfire :*( But would like Single 6990
NZXT M59 Case <-- One sexy super cheap Case imo alot of Fan options

I plan to add more RAM later to fill its 2x empty DIMMs, but for now I gotta keep it cheapish *(To afford/Justify my 6990\2x6950s)*

with the 2x 6950s I can keep the rig under 1000

Isn't there supposed to be a re-release of the 590 this month with improved VRM design, etc?

If so, I'd definitely wait for the revised 590 or the 6990s to restock. If you're spending 700+ on a video card, why settle?

No new Geforce GTX 590 board designs says Nvidia

Asus however is going to make a non-reference GTX 580x2 Dual GPU on one pcb which is two fully operational 580's without any down clocking or under volting. Guess that's like a revised 590.
