Sounds like a kid with too much money who most likely won't listen to any suggestions anyway.

Typical Sort-By-Price-Descending-Add-To-Cart kinda person.

Also seems like he's been on the Red Bull too much.

Extreme? You can't build a good Xeon for <$3K. And that particular 750W unit is the best money can buy.

This.

That pc will be classed as badass.

As for the 980x i saw mentioned earlier in the post, don't bother unless you are 100% sure you will use all 6 cores.

I was stupid enough to fall for the epeen but soon realised after purchase it wasn't the best choice of cpu to get and I pretty much wasted £800.

i had a i7 980x.. also a 990x.. the only reason I bought them because you had to be stupid not to buy them at the prices I got them at..£400 for the i7 980x used.. £470 for the 990x brand new... these cpus are now both already sold.. I used them for awhile.. but it was ok becuase even when i went to sell i made around 100 pound+ on each

now thinking in reality.. I could stick with my side rig i7 950.. but its time for somthing new..
i7 2600k looks tasty and bulldozers looks too late to serve..

why does he need a 1000W PSU just to be safe? an 850 will handle 2x 580's easily.

Why do people always reccomend massive PSU's when they arent necessary? its daft, but wait, it says 1000 on it!
